Who are we?

Photo Véronique BraescoAgronomic engineer, with a PhD in nutrition and former director of research at INRA, Véronique Azaïs-Braesco directed nutrition research for Danone Group from 2000 to 2003, in charge of designing and implementing scientific strategies in nutrition and health and to aid the development of innovative products. She was later the director at the CRNH (Centre for Research into Human Nutrition) in Auvergne until 2007.

She has written over a hundred scientific articles on nutrition.

Her activities have led her to sit in several expert committees both national and international.

She founded VAB-nutrition in June 2007.

Clelia BianchiClélia Bianchi is an agronomic engineer specialized in Human Nutrition from AgroParisTech. She holds a PhD in Human Nutrition, that was built on a private-public partnership between Danone Nutricia Research and an AgroParisTech/INRAE research team. She has worked both in the public sector, as research fellow, and in the private sector, as nutrition scientific and regulatory officer for the French fruit juice industry association.

In the framework of her research experience, she gained expertise in nutritional epidemiology, consumer behavior and public health, especially as regards dietary quality indices, nutrition during pregnancy, tailored nutrition and dietary advice. She has written several research articles et has participated as invited speaker in different conference. Clélia joined VAB-Nutrition as scientific project manager in 2020.

Hélène Mounichetty joined VAB-nutrition team in January 2010, as administrative assistant.

We also benefited from the skills of Aurélie Chanson-Rollé for over 10 years.

We participate in the most important events of the Health & Nutrition sector in France and abroad such as:

• Scientific congresses: JFN (French-speaking Nutrition Days), Meeting of the FASEB (USA), the FENS (Europe), the IUNS (International Congress of Nutrition)…

• Exhibitions and trade shows: Vitafoods, Health Ingredients Europe, Health & Food Days, NutrEvent, Vitagora...

We are aware of the latest regulatory developments and scientific advances, and spend as much time as necessary reading scientific papers and scientific and business newsletters, as well as data mining relevant websites. We participate in regulatory briefings organized by Agencies or Authorities.
